Dangerous Goods Regulations Function in Table 4.1.L Course Description

Personnel working under supervision for handling and storage of Baggage, cargo or mail in an airport, warehouse. Loading and unloading ULD and loading and unloading aircraft cargo compartments (personnel such as porters, loaders, equipment operator, worker, driver…etc.)

Course Objectives

To provide participants with a thorough understanding of how dangerous goods are shipped safely by air commensurate with their responsibilities.

    GCAA Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course and an assessment. (Passing 80%)

    Prerequisite

    • Working knowledge of English language (Read, Write, Speak)

    • Basic concepts of mathematics

    1) Understanding the basics of dangerous goods

    • Recognizing dangerous goods applicability

    • Understanding the general limitations

    • Identifying roles and responsibilities

    • Understanding the importance of classification & packaging

    • Understanding hazard communication

    • Familiarizing with basic Emergency Response

    2) Collecting safety data

    • Report dangerous goods accidents

    • Report dangerous goods incidents

    • Report undeclared/mis-declared dangerous goods

    Duration: 3 hours
