Personnel responsible for processing or accepting dangerous goods consignments or accepting mail containing dangerous goods or personnel nominated by their employer to meeting the GCAA Dangerous Goods Certification requirements or personnel performing the functions of Dangerous Goods Post Holder for Air Operators carrying dangerous goods, including Airport Operators, Ground Handling Agents, Helicopter Operators, Designated Postal Operators, Freight Forwarders and Packaging Suppliers.

Exam & Certificate
GCAA Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course and an assessment. (Passing 80%)

Evaluate a substance or an article against the classification criteria
Determine dangerous goods description
Review special provisions
3) Preparing dangerous goods shipment
Assess packing options including quantity limitations
Apply packing requirements
Apply marks and labels
Assess use of overpack
Prepare documentation
4) Processing/accepting cargo
Review documentation
Review package(s)
Complete acceptance procedures
Process/accept cargo other than dangerous goods
5) Managing cargo pre-loading
Plan loading
Prepare load for aircraft
Issue NOTOC
6) Transporting cargo/baggage
Load aircraft
Manage dangerous goods pre and during flight
